This is the famous Golden Temple, a temple completely in dedicated to the Sikh religion. In the Sikh religion there are 10 Gurus (Masters) and this is 'the most' important place where the first Guru was living. The structure itself, is awesome, maybe not like the Taj Mahal, but for what gives to the community should replace it as a "Wonder of the World".
A mother and Sikh believer who shows to her daughter how to respect this sacred place: the Golden Temple in Amritsar. This famous temple is one of the most important place for the Sikh religion, when the people come must cover their head and bow in front of the temple.
The most impressive aspect of the Golden Temple is the fact of being able to provide free meals 24 hours on 24, every day of the year since more than 400 years! Thanks to the help of hundreds of workers and hundreds of volunteers, 100,000 meals are prepared each day (200,000 on the weekend), 500 every 10 minutes, served free and unlimited to everyone that comes here.
Why are you a photographer? for what? This is an important question that sooner or later you have to make to yourself. One of the days spent in Amritsar made me understand more, an aspect that I love about photography.
